Primary
research Questions:
-What do you think about driving in
the UAE?
Subtopic
Questions:
4-what do you know about death
rate?
5-if it is high how to make it low?
6-it is hard to get the driving
lessons in the UAE?
Section 2 – Background Report Summary
Seeking an effective ways to make the UAE roads safer through
driving behavior of all drivers in the UAE, most of them think that driving in the UAE is unsafe, so they think that the death rate is high. Can we make it low? It can happen by many different ways to
change the bad driving behavior in UAE roads first by educating the young and adult
drivers about the risks of it, secondly by setting strict rules and high fines,
because nowadays most people care for money more then caring about them self, however getting the driving lessons is somehow easy so making the driving
lessons test a little bit harder can be better for all.
Section 3 – Questionnaire Results
This survey was conducted among 30 people in the UAE.
The purpose of the survey was to investigate the driving behavior in the
UAE. The
survey was conducted by means of a questionnaire given to the people of the UAE
to complete; the first part of the survey talks about their own driving and how
good their driving is; however the second part of the survey talks about
the death rate and how to lower it, Finally the last part of the survey
talks about the public transport and private cars. The most significant
items the charts illustrate are as follows. In the first section 79.31% of
the participants think that their driving is safe; however 62.02%
sometimes go above the speed limit. In the second part most of the
participants know about the death rate in the UAE, 44.83%; however
there is a minority of participants, 34.43% who don't know about it. On
the other hand 23 of the participants give some good ideas in how to
lower the death rate. The last part 81.31% of the participants prefer to use
the private cars; however 44.50%of them have used the public transport
once or twice, but most of the participants think that the public transport is
safe and clean.
Section 4 – Discussion
As to the results of the survey questionnaire that was distributed
to the 30 random people living in the UAE, the most interesting results were
how people are willing to help the community to have safer roads. As it showed,
most of the participants were agreed to make strict rules that have high fines
and educate young drivers in schools about the risks of driving in high speed,
however, most of them cross the speed limits but they want the best for the
country and they think that they driving is safe!
However most of them have an idea of the high rate of death.
On the other hand most of them are willing to use the public
transport that they know is safer but not as clean as the private cars.
